Public Policy Analyst, Gender Mainstreaming Expert & CEO of Women Arise Development and Humanitarian Initiative (Nigeria)

Eghobamien-Mshelia is a public policy analyst and gender mainstreaming expert with experience in social inclusion and catalysing gender responsive economic growth. She has been elected to the UN-CEDAW Committee as Nigeria’s representative from 2023-2026. Eghobamien-Mshelia was the former Head of Gender for the Commonwealth Secretariat and Interim Coordinator for the World Bank supported “Nigeria for Women Project”. She chairs the Ministerial Technical Committee on Private Sector Initiatives of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, is a member of the Commonwealth Business Women’s Network (CBWN) and International Advisory Group and Chairperson of the CBWN Nigeria Chapter. Eghobamien-Mshelia is the founder and CEO of Women Arise Development and Humanitarian Initiative (WADHI). She is the innovator of the KOWGO Mobile Application, an indigenous technology-based financial learning and management tool with a trading platform for addressing the gender digital divide.
