Iulia Kharashvili is co-founder and chairwoman of the Georgian IDP women’s association Consent. She is currently a member of the Advisory Group to Chairperson of OSCE on Women, Peace and Security and member of High-Level Advisory Group for OSCE WIN project. Her NGO was founded in 1995 and has been involved in the peace and confidence-building process in Georgia in the aftermath of the war in Abkhazia, Georgia (1992-1993). Consent represents local civil society organisations in the Steering Committee on IDP issues. From 2008 to 2010, Iulia was Deputy Director of the Department of International Relations in the Georgian Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation Affairs. From 2021-2023 she was a spokesperson of the Action Network on Forced Displacement.
