Rebecca Nyiriimana Ahaad is a passionate feminist, dedicated advocate for refugee girls and girls’ rights from DR Congo. Rebecca is the founder of She-Rendezvous, a refugee girls-led group in Uganda. Over the past 6 years, she has worked tirelessly to increase the voices of young refugee girls in Uganda, championing their access to education, sexual and reproductive health, and equality. As a senior facilitator with the Rendezvous Youth Group – Refugee led association, Rebecca has managed group projects, led community discussions, and created platforms for refugee girls to raise their voices. She was involved in the U-report Uganda and UNICEF’s Child Survival and Development Section, focusing on interventions for disability in early childhood, plus representing the girl child in U-report Uganda.
